Suspect who killed son-in-law seven years back arrested

LAHORE: Chowki Saggian Police has arrested a suspect who had shot dead a man in Gujranwala seven years back in front of his father for marrying his daughter.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Ilyas. He was frustrated because a man had contracted love marriage with his daughter.

He was so annoyed that he went to see the victim at his house in Gujranwala and shot him dead in front of his father.

The suspect afterwards had fled from the scene. He was in hiding for the last seven years until Chowki Saggian Police busted him. Police said that they were investigating the matter and would hand over the suspect to the police concerned after completion of legal formalities.

Robbers arrested: A gang involved in conducting five shop robberies in Raiwind in a single day was arrested. This has been disclosed by ASP Raiwind Amir Shaukat during a press conference at his office on Friday.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Kashif and Zeeshan Ali. They would target general store and easy paisa shops.

The suspects had conducted 10 robbery bids during last month. Illegal weapons, motorcycle and other valuables were recovered from their custody. He said that police were investigating the matter further.
