Six trucks of relief goods sent to KP for rain-affected people

LAHORE:On the instructions of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz, Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir went to Peshawar with relief goods for rain-affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and handed over more than 6 trucks of relief goods to Peshawar City Council Mayor Jaji Zubair Ali.

Addressing the media and the distribution ceremony of aid supplies at Peshawar Mayor House, Health Minister Kh Imran Nazir said, “Under the instructions of Nawaz Sharif and CM Maryam, I have come with relief materials for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our leaders love the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa very much. We are with the people of Pakhtunkhwa in this time of trouble and suffering.”

He said that the Punjab government will provide all possible resources to help the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The CM gave orders for special assistance to the victims of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On this occasion, Khawaja Imran Nazir distributed relief materials to the flood-affected people on behalf of the Punjab government.

Health Minister Imran Nazir while addressing the members of Peshawar City Council said that on the request of the Mayor of Peshawar City Council, it has been decided to send field hospitals to Peshawar for a week.

He said that the field hospitals along medicines, test labs and doctors will reach Peshawar by tomorrow night for KP people. He said that Maryam Nawaz will continue to implement the humanitarian policies. Peshawar City Council Mayor Haji Zubair Ali also addressed the event and thanked the Punjab government for sending the relief materials.

The Mayor of Peshawar City Council presented a souvenir to Kh Imran Nazir. Chief Drug Controller Azhar Jamal Saleemi, Director PDMA M Irfan, Rana Imran, Saifuddin and Dr Shahjahan accompanied the provincial minister. On this occasion, City Council Peshawar Mayor, Deputy Mayor, members, local body representatives were also present.
