ISLAMABAD: After more than 200 days of the Palestinian conflict, Pakistani consumers’ sentiments, especially among females, are once again leaning toward supporting the boycott, reveals Pulse Consultant’s latest survey.

The boycott campaign against Israeli products has increased further by 13 percent among female and five percent among male customers in Pakistan, unfolds the survey.

Unlike December 2023, where the Pulse survey showed a declining trend in sentiments to boycott from November 2023, (83% in Nov 2023 to 60% in Dec 2023), in April 2024, it reversed with an overall increase of 5% (reaching 65% in April 2024). Interestingly, among female customers, there was a notable increase of 13%, reaching a new peak from 62% in December 2023 to 75% in April 2024. Whereas among males, the increase was 5% (from 59% in December 2023 to 64% in April 2024).

The most striking development in April 2024 is the firm and unwavering support shown by those who endorsed the boycott campaign against Israeli products comprising 65% of respondents.

In December 2023, out of those who agreed with the boycott slogan (60%), 68% actively participated in boycotting. However, by April 2024, the percentage of individuals who boycotted the brands increased to 84%, marking a total of 16% increase from December 2023.
