The criminal record of the dismissed policeman allegedly involved in the dual murder in the Korangi area a couple of days ago emerged on Tuesday.
The dual murder incident was reported in Korangi, with startling revelations emerging during the investigation. The key suspect, Muhammad Danish, who was dismissed from the police force, was found to be involved in serious crimes and was even running a special police party. Revelations like these raise questions about the transparency of police recruitment once again.
Dismissed policeman Danish, son of Abdul Khaliq, is among five suspects allegedly involved in the murders of two friends – mechanics by profession -- on the night between Sunday and Monday.
it has been reported that despite being involved in crimes, Danish was recruited in the police department. According to his police record, he was arrested by Jackson police in 2015 on charges of kidnapping. In 2015, he was arrested by Ferozabad police on charges of robbery. The next year after an encounter with the police, Danish was again arrested.
Ferozabad police also filed two cases under Arms Act and Explosive Act against him. In 2020, he was arrested three times by Korangi Industrial Area police on serious charges, shows police record.
Danish was dismissed from the police department in 2020, say police sources. In 2021, he was arrested by Korangi Industrial Area police on charges of drug trafficking. He has a total of nine cases registered against him in various police stations, according to the police record.
