Police arrested a councillor affiliated with a political party on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in land grabbing in Shah Latif Town.
The police also claimed to have vacated eight acres of land from the land grabber. A case had been registered at Shah Latif police station based on the state's complaint. Police stated that councillor Naseeb Brohi was arrested along with three of his companions.
They added that the councilor had summoned his accomplices from Kashmore to occupy the land. The police further reported that the suspects were selling government land at cheap rates. Waheed Domki and Ghulam Rasool, companions of the arrested suspects, managed to escape while raids were underway to apprehend them.
