LAHORE: Fourth meeting of the Sub-cabinet committee on Law and Order was held in the Interior Department under the chairmanship of Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique.
The Sub-Cabinet Committee meeting gave instructions to police to intensify operation against outlaws in Katcha area. Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, and Transport Minister Bilal Akbar participated as members. Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain attended the meeting through video link conference.
During the meeting, Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique made a detailed review of law and order in the province, arrangements for by-elections in Multan and Muzaffargarh, Kacha operation and other issues. The officers concerned, Additional IG South Punjab and Commissioner DG Khan gave a briefing. Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said during the meeting, “We pay tribute to the Punjab policemen who were injured while fighting the enemies of law and order. According to the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, we will ensure peace and order throughout the province.”
During the meeting, instructions have been given to speed up the Katcha operation. During the meeting, approval has been given to the Punjab Police for the rearrangement of various police stations in the interest of the people.
