HYDERABAD: A Sindh High Court (SHC) division bench at the Hyderabad registry announced on Thursday its decision that was reserved on April 24 on the bail applications of four accused arrested in the Sukkur-Hyderabad M6 Motorway corruption case
The SHC granted bail to former Matiari deputy commissioner Adnan Rasheed, Sindh Bank employee Tabish Ali Shah Hussaini, Saudul Haq and Mukhtiar Ali Chandio against personal bonds of Rs1.5 million.
The bench comprising Justice Muhammad Karim Khan Agha and Justice Umar Sial announced the reserved decision. The judgment states that the petitioners were being granted bail on the basis of the 15-month delay in the completion of the trial.
The SHC ordered all the applicants to submit a personal bond of Rs1.5 million per person to the office of the additional registrar. The high court also ordered the home ministry to immediately put the names of all the applicants in the Exit Control List (ECL). The high court ordered the applicants to appear at the trial court after receiving bail.
