KARACHI: As many as 21 squash players from Pakistan are participating in six international events next month.
According to details, Qasim Noorani, Huzaifa Ibrahim, Ahsan Ayaz, and Ashab Irfan will play 25th Atlanta Open in the US from May 29 to June 2. In the first round, wildcard Qasim Noorani is to face Adegoke Onaopemipo from Nigeria, Huzaifa Ibrahim is drawn against Babatunde Ajagbe from Nigeria, and Ahsan Ayaz will play against Jamie Ruggiero from USA while fourth seed Ashab Irfan got bye in the first round.
Sikandar Khan, Mutahir Ali, Mehmood Mehboob, M Fawad, and M Babar are to participate in the Golden Open in Australia from May 30 to June 2.
In the first round, Sikander Khan will face Tino Mackay Palacios from Scotland, Mutahir Ali is to face Mehmood Mehboob from Pakistan, M Babar is drawn against Daniel Marsh from Australia, and M Fawad is up against Lucas Pérez from Chili.
Wildcard Qasim Noorani will play against his countryman Wajiullah Nasim in the first round in the Open Costa Brava in Spain from June 5-8.
Israr Ahmed, Nasir Iqbal, Khakan Ahmed, Moeen ud Din, Ashar Butt, Mehmood Mehboob, Zahir Shah, Talha Zubair, Mutahir Ali are taking part in the Bendigo International in Australia from June 27-30.
