Islamabad:The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) was abuzz with excitement on Thursday as esteemed artist Gonzalo Ruiz Navarro graced the lecture hall with an enthralling Artist Talk and Oil Painting Demonstration. From 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, art enthusiasts and connoisseurs were treated to an intimate exploration of Navarro's creative process, providing a rare glimpse into the mind of one of today's most distinguished painters.

Navarro, an alumnus of the University of Valencia and trained at renowned institutions such as the Taller del Prado in Madrid, has a storied career marked by over 50 exhibitions worldwide. His work, which includes eight solo showcases across Spain and the United States, is celebrated for its profound artistic vision and exceptional mastery of the brush. Mentored by luminaries like Carlos Moreu Spa and Guillermo Muñoz Vera, Navarro’s art captures the essence of landscapes and cultures with unparalleled detail and sensitivity.

In his latest exhibition at PNCA, Navarro unveiled a collection that showcases his deep connection with Pakistan. This body of work is the culmination of an immersive study from 2022 to 2024, where Navarro adeptly captured the country’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural tapestry. His paintings, on display in Gallery No. 6 until May 28th, offer a vibrant glimpse into the soul of Pakistan. Adding a philanthropic dimension to his art, Navarro has committed fifty percent of the sales proceeds from the exhibition to the IFWA Charity Fund, which supports local NGOs focused on the empowerment of women and children. This initiative has further endeared him to the Pakistani audience, reflecting his genuine affinity for the country and its people.
