LAHORE:Lahore continued to sizzle as mercury reached 45.3°C while Met office warned that the heatwave conditions were likely to prevail over most plain areas of the country on Tuesday (today).
Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Mohenjo Daro and Shaheed Benazirabad where mercury reached 52°C, while in Lahore, it was 45.3°C and minimum was 29°C. Met officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country while high pressure prevailing in the upper atmosphere and likely to persist during next two days. Met office predicted that very hot and dry weather was expected over most plain areas of the country while gusty winds/ windstorm was expected during afternoon.
