Islamabad : Top management of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to benefit from expertise and experiences of a former Chairman Kamran Lashari for adding to beauty of metropolitan's landscape and launch of new projects in this connection.
The CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa invited former Chairman Kamran Lashari to co-chair a meeting with him with regard to new development project with particular reference to enhancing beauty of metropolitan's landscape. It was also attended CDA board members and senior officials.
Kamran Lashari gave some valuable proposals to the CDA management to execute new projects to add to beauty of Islamabad. A detailed briefing was also given to the meeting with regard to landscaping of Islamabad. Kamran Lashri remained CDA chairman from the year 2003 to 2008 and it was eventful era in history of the civic body during which the metropolitan got new shape with regard to recreational spots of development projects.
During those five years, many tourist spots like Lake View Park, Saidpur Village, development of F-9 Park, upgradation of Daman-e-Koh View Point, expansion of Rose and Yasmin Park, renovation of Shakarparia spot along with development projects like 7th and 9th avenues and expansion of Margalla Road were undertaken. Kamran Lashari also convinced then Prime Minister to give financial autonomy to CDA so that the authority could itself finance its development projects.
"We will benefit from valuable services and expertise of Kamran Lashari which he rendered for the federal capital," Randhawa said. Kamran Lashari opinined that liking of residents of Islamabad and their needs should be kept in view heile executing development projects in Islamabad.
He said that green nature of Islamabad natrual beauty give the metropolitan as a separate identity. Kamaran Lashari said such picnic spots recreational facilities should be planned where the public have easy access. Along with launching more recreational places, Lashari also called for proper maintenance of existing tourist and picnic spots in the federal capital. Residents of Islamabad particularly those old dwellers have commended the CDA management for inviting Kamran Lashari in Islamabad to seek his suggestions for further uplift of Islamabad.
