Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has welcomed the presentation of what he calls a people-friendly budget by the federal government for the upcoming financial year 2024-25.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the governor said the new federal budget fully reflected the people’s aspirations.
He was of the view that the federal government had prepared a balanced budget despite prevailing economic issues. He claimed that the new federal budget would be helpful in lowering the prices of essential products.
Tessori also welcomed the decision of the federal government to allocate funds for constructing an IT park in Karachi. He said the present government had secured remarkable achievements in the economic arena.
An improved economic situation would attract investment, he remarked and welcomed the federal government’s decision to increase minimum wages of labourers and salaries of government servants.
