LAHORE: The XEN Public Health Engineering, Bahawalpur, has been fined Rs 10,000 for not giving access to information.
The chief information commissioner (CIC) has directed imposing a further fine of Rs 50,000 if the XEN does not provide information within three days. Announcing his decision in the Syed Muhammad Akhtar vs XEN Public Health Engineering case, CIC Mahboob Qadir Shah rejected the XEN objection to Syed Muhammad Akhtar’s application for getting the attested copies of technical survey of Akhtarabad Sewerage project, work order, bills and vouchers of project cost and administrative approval.
