Islamabad:A delegation of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance, led by chief coordinator Rehman Ali Bajwa, held a meeting with Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, a ruling PML-N MNA from Islamabad.
The delegation, comprising representatives of various labour unions, notably the Federal Government College Teachers Association, highlighted multiple pressing issues faced by government employees. The union leaders of the Public Works Department expressed concerns about the potential abolition of the department. Mr Bajwa highlighted the concern over increased taxes on employee salaries and the frozen state of house rent, medical, and conveyance allowances.
