LAHORE: Very hot and humid weather was reported in the city here on Wednesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions with chances of scattered rain during the next 24 hours.
Met officials said that weak moist currents from Arabian sea was penetrating in central parts of the country while a shallow westerly wave was also present over upper parts.
They predicted that windstorm/thunderstorm-rain was expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, Punjab and northeast Baluchistan while hot and humid weather was likely elsewhere in the country.
Rainfall was recorded at Dir, Bannu and Jhelum only.
Wednesday’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at Sibbi where mercury reached 48°C while in Lahore it was 44.5°C and minimum was 31°C.
