PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Law and Finance Minister Aftab Alam Afridi on Sunday approved funds for a drinking water scheme in his constituency. According to a handout, the local elders had drawn his attention to the scarcity of drinking water in the far-flung area of his constituency Ziarat Sheikh Allah Dad in Kohat.
He took notice of the issue and rushed to the area along with the Chairman of Gambat Tehsil Sajid Iqbal and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Iinsaf local leader Ishtiaq Qureshi. The minister inspected the Shadipur Water Supply Scheme in Ziarat Sheikh Allah Dad. He was told that the water requirement of the area was not being met by the Shadipur Water Supply Scheme as its water was not available to the entire area due to which the drinking water problem had turned serious.
He assured drinking water would be supplied to every house in the area and that the drinking water scarcity problem of the people would be solved on a permanent basis.
