LAHORE : The Punjab government has decided to conduct a written examination for doctors to get government jobs.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) sources told APP that a test would be conducted for permanent recruitment of doctors by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
The PPSC has started the process of recruiting 900 doctors.
There will be questions related to knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs and Geography, the sources added.
Apart from this, papers related to Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science and Computer Science will have to be solved.
Doctor getting 40 per cent marks in the test would qualify for the interview stage. Earlier permanent recruitment of medical officers was done only on the basis of interview.
