Everyone hates taxes

Wednesday, Jul 17, 2024

The recent budget expanded the tax net and raised existing taxes, sparking widespread resistance. Petrol station owners went on strike over turnover tax, and flour mills protested potential withholding taxes. Retail stores, property owners, and farmers also resist taxation. Employees complain about tax burdens, though they aren't unbearably taxed. Large mill owners avoid taxes, citing high expenses, yet demand government facilities. We criticize the government for poor hospitals, education, roads, and infrastructure, but these can only improve if taxes are paid. For progress, it's essential that everyone contributes their fair share. Let's all become taxpayers and help our country move forward.
