LAHORE: A fault in grid station caused a fire, resulting in the suspension of power in several parts of the city in the Southern areas.
It is learnt that incoming 11KV feeder trolley flashed late last night due to which two employees on duty also got affected. They were taken to Jinnah hospital. An employee Ammar was discharged this morning while Adeel’s treatment is still underway.
Meanwhile, Lesco staff was in process of replacing the 11KV panel. The supply was restored at 04:20 am but the forced load shedding was being carried out to manage the load on other transformers as power supply was being restored gradually. Later, 11KV panel issue was resolved and system started working normally at 15.23 hrs.
