Hyderabad: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, speaking to the media ahead of the entry test for IT courses at Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, expressed gratitude to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) officials, elected representatives, Selani, and Mayor Kashif Shoro for their support towards students' education.
He highlighted that economic conditions prompted the initiative, stating, "Just as 50 thousand students are enrolled in IT courses at Karachi's Governor House, now 50 thousand students will also pursue IT courses in Hyderabad."
Tessori mentioned the journey from a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club three months ago to the realization of this initiative today, thanking the army chief for incorporating IT courses into the new council.
"For years, Pakistan's IT exports have been 2 to 3 billion dollars annually, whereas India achieves ten billion dollars growth each year," he emphasized, announcing efforts to eliminate barriers hindering IT exports, a pivotal step towards economic advancement. "Hyderabad will now lead in IT rankings," he affirmed.
Regarding funding, Tessori assured, "The expenses for this test are not borne by the Government of Sindh or Governor House. My friends and I will collectively cover these costs." Acknowledging media's role in children's development, he announced plans to conduct similar tests in Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, and Larkana after Hyderabad.
Addressing the issue of economic competition with India, he urged, "We must focus on economic prowess rather than armed conflict. Our youth will succeed." The governor engaged with students attending the IT courses, encouraging them towards their career goals.
