Man murders wife, daughter over domestic issue

LAHORE:A man stabbed to death his wife and teenage daughter in the Defence locality on Friday.Mohabat Khan reportedly was annoyed at a domestic dispute and killed his 18-year-old daughter Samiya and 45-year-old wife Shahnaz with a knife. Noticing the screams, locals of Alfalah Town alerted police and a Dolphin Squad team reached the spot and arrested the accused with the weapon.

Eight dead in Punjab road accidents

Around eight people died and 1,359 others injured in 1,204 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours. Around 600 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 759 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.

Body recovered from BRB canal

Body of a man was recovered from the BRB canal on Friday. A passerby spotted the body and alerted police. A Rescue 1122 team fished out the body and handed it over to police.

Eight injured in neighbours clash

Eight people suffered bullet injuries in North Cant police area following an altercation between neighbours on Friday. Shakhawat, Safdar, Wajid, Salim and four others suffered bullet wounds and were shifted to hospital. Batapur police have registered a case against accused Yousuf, Hamza, Subhan and others on the complaint of injured Safdar.

Four robbers arrested

Chowki Nadirabad police have arrested four suspected robbers. The arrested suspects were identified as Ashfaq, Usman, Yasir Maseeh and Mubashir. Four motorbikes, cash, pistol and bullets were recovered from their custody.
