LAHORE: Former Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis has officially assumed the role of Cricket Advisor to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Younis, in a significant power-sharing arrangement, will be responsible for overseeing all cricket-related matters, including team selection, coaching, and domestic cricket. Chairman Naqvi will focus on the administrative side of the PCB, particularly the upcoming Champions Trophy. The decision to delegate such authority to Younis is based on the PCB Constitution 2014, which allows the chairman to share powers with any individual.
