ISLAMABAD: Pakistan said on Wednesday the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in neighbouring Iran was a “reckless act”, describing his assassination in an air strike blamed on Israel as “terrorism”.
“Pakistan views with serious concern the growing Israeli adventurism in the region. Its latest acts constitute a dangerous escalation in an already volatile region and undermine efforts for peace,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.The spokesperson mentioned Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations including “extrajudicial and extraterritorial killings irrespective of the motives”.
