The Sindh Bar Council (SBC), led by Vice Chairman Kashif Hanif and Chairman Executive Committee Yasir Arafat Shar, on Wednesday strongly condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political chief of Hamas, in what they describe as a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran.

The SBC denounced the murder as an odious attack, asserting that such Zionist barbarism would not achieve its goals. They paid tribute to Haniyeh, offering heartfelt condolences to the Islamic Ummah and to the Palestinian people.

The Council unequivocally condemned the targeted assassination and all acts of violence committed by Israel. They called on all peace-loving nations to denounce these brutal acts of the Zionist state.

Reaffirming its solidarity with the Palestinian people, the SBC supported their right to return, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. They criticised the ongoing situation in occupied Palestine as a result of the longstanding denial of Palestinians' legitimate right to self-determination.

The SBC expressed deep concern over Israel's persistent aggression, violence, and racial discrimination, noting that these actions violate international humanitarian law and human rights principles. They also voiced concern over the United Nations' and Security Council's silence on these issues.
