ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in the federal capital on Wednesday issued an order for PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi to appear before the court via video link on September 7.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra ordered jail officials to make arrangements for the video link appearance. He was hearing a case against Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others related to vandalism.
The judge asked if Shah Mehmood Qureshi is a convicted prisoner and in which jail he is detained.
The PTI lawyer submitted that Qureshi is not a convicted prisoner and is in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail. The judge directed the jail superintendent to present the accused via video link on the next date of hearing.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the vandalism case against Imran and Qureshi until September 7.
It may be mentioned here that two cases of vandalism are registered against Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other workers at Khanna Police Station.
