LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in a significant step towards promoting cricket at the grassroots level, has partnered with the Ministry of Federal Education to organise tournaments and leagues in schools, colleges, and universities across the country.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the PCB, Inter-Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), Higher Education Commission (HEC), and Capital Development Authority (CDA), aims to identify and nurture young talent. The initiative was officially launched at a ceremony attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister for Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
Under the agreement, the PCB will be responsible for providing training, umpires, scorers, and support staff for tournaments. The best performers will have the opportunity to join the PCB’s high-performance centers and represent Pakistan at the international level.
