NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Sunday criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan for his willingness to talk to the establishment despite asking it to remain neutral.Speaking at a press conference, he said Imran Khan was master of taking U-turns as he had repeatedly asked the establishment in the past to remain neutral but now, he was seeking to hold talks with it. He said that on the one hand, the former prime minister had repeatedly asked the establishment to stay neutral but on the other hand, he was dragging it into politics.He said that all institutions should work within the ambit of the constitution to boost democracy.Commenting on the poor law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he lauded the sacrifices of the police for the restoration of peace. He said that the police bravely engaged the militants, who had attacked the convoy of the judges in Dera Ismail Khan recently.Paying tributes to the KP police force on the occasion of the Police Martyrs Day, the ANP leader said that the cops from the provincial police force were bravely facing the militants and offering sacrifices for the restoration of peace.About the Supreme Court’s decision in favour of the PTI in the reserved seats case, he said that the verdict had legal loopholes, but it was made in view of the public sentiments. He said that the court gave the reserved seats to the PTI which had not even asked for it.He said that the Muslim Ummah should unit to help resolve the Palestine issue. He said that Israeli forces were committing atrocities against innocent people of Gaza. About the flood threat, he asked the provincial government to take steps on war footing to cope with any eventuality as the water level was rising in the rivers in KP.
