LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari Monday severely criticised the FIA cyber wing saying it lacked expertise, and requested the prime minister to shut it down.
Speaking to the media outside the Lahore High Court, she noted that the “LHC chief justice understands the matter of fake videos and she is determined to get to the bottom of it”. She came down hard on the cybercrime wing for not aware of their responsibilities and failing to remove her fake videos from Facebook.
Azma emphasised the urgency of addressing the issue, warning that “if it is not resolved today, it may happen to someone else tomorrow”. She pointed out that since the emergence of the “Fitna Party” (PTI), these problems have been rampant.
She said people should be ashamed of the comments made on a picture of her with her son. Azma vowed to fight her case till last, stating that she would go to every extent and knock at all doors for justice. She called for support of entire society, stressing that today it is her, and tomorrow it could be someone else’s daughter in her place.
