A man was arrested for allegedly desecrating a woman's grave at the Bagh-e-Korangi graveyard in Awami Colony.
The suspect was caught in the act of exhuming the body and attempting to commit an immoral act. The public intervened, severely beating him before turning him over to police. Initial reports suggested that the woman’s body had been buried for 10 to 12 days. The suspect had been observed monitoring newly dug graves and confessed to previously exhuming and sexually abusing corpses from four other graves. He had a prior arrest for a similar offense at the Korangi No 1 graveyard eight years ago. The suspect is now facing charges at the Awami Colony police station, and an investigation is ongoing.
