After coming through the Manchester City academy, England youth international Hamilton made his debut in the Champions League away to Red Star Belgrade last season, scoring in the 3-2 win.Boro head coach Michael Carrick said on the club website: “Micah is an exciting young player who we are looking forward to working with.
“He has already been in and around the senior side at Man City. He has got that experience from playing in the Champions League and is another great addition to the squad.” Elsewhere in the Championship on Friday, Norwich completed the signing of midfielder Amankwah Forson from Red Bull Salzburg.
Forson, 21, has signed a four-year deal, subject to international clearance and regulatory approval, with the club holding an option of an additional 12 months.
