LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar distributed laptops to the children of martyred police officers during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office on Friday.
The laptops were received by the daughter of Sub-Inspector Mushtaq Ahmed Shaheed from DG Khan, the daughter of ASI M Amjad Qamar Shaheed from Muzaffargarh, the daughter of Shaheed Inspector Zulfiqar Ali from Mianwali, the daughter of Constable M Mumtaz Khan, the daughter of ASI M Irshad from Bahawalpur, the daughter of Lahore Police Constable Abdul Sattar Shaheed and the daughter of SSP Tayyab Saeed Shaheed.
IGP congratulates Arshad Nadeem: Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar Friday congratulated Arshad Nadeem for winning the gold medal in Paris Olympics.
He said the athlete made history with his hard work and dedication and made the nation proud. The IGP congratulated him on behalf of the police force for setting a world record in Olympic competitions. According to Punjab Police spox, Arshad Nadeem had also recently inaugurated the Special Initiative Police Station of Punjab Police in Mian Channu.
AIG briefed on timely completion of challans: A video link meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Additional IG Investigation Branch Punjab.
All SSPs and SPs Investigation and other officers of the province participated through a video link. The meeting was briefed on the implementation of high court orders regarding the timely completion of challans. The meeting was informed that 17 refresher courses of investigation officers were completed with the collaboration of Investigation Branch. Master trainers gave advanced training to a total of 21,932 investigation officers posted in different districts.
