Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui has said that the judiciary is facing a shortage of judges and vacant posts of judges will be filled soon.
Addressing a tree plantation ceremony of the Sindh High Court Bar Association on Monday, he said that 12 new courts would be set up at the old annex building of the high court. He said an auditorium, and consultation and mediation rooms should be set up at the premises of the court.
Senior SHC judge Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto and other judges also attended the ceremony and planted saplings at the SHC lawns. SHCBA President Rehan Aziz Malik said that lawyers would provide complete assistance to the judiciary for rule of the law and access to justice to every citizen.
