The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) would not have any reason to remain as a coalition partner in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government if the PML-N took any unilateral decision to change the incumbent Sindh governor, Kamran Khan Tessori.
MQM-P leader Dr Farooq Sattar made this point in a statement issued to the press on Monday to respond to speculations regarding the possible change of the Sindh governor. He said the Sindh governor belonged to the MQM-P and when the MQM-P had been holding talks with the PML-N for joining the federal government, it was decided that Tessori would remain as the Sindh governor.
The statement read that there had been speculations that Tessori would be replaced as the governor. “The MQM wants to make it clear to the PML-N that it will lose all the reasons to stay in the present PML-N-led federal government if any decision is made unilaterally to change Kamran Tessori,” Dr Sattar said.
