LAHORE: The medical staff of Lahore General Hospital saved two precious lives by providing timely medical aid to a woman and her newborn in a rickshaw outside the Emergency Department of LGH.
According to the details, a 25-year-old woman Shakila was brought to LGH Emergency in a rickshaw by her attendants. As the family arrived outside the Hospital Emergency, the woman was suffering from labour pains and started the delivery process, the family informed the doctors on duty in the labour room so without wasting time they went in a rickshaw with life-saving medicines and nursing staff and completed the delivery process. A daughter was born to the woman. Later, the doctors immediately transferred both the mother and the newborn to the Emergency Department where they are under the care of doctors and in good health. The family thanked the hospital staff.
On this occasion, MS Dr Faryad Hussain appealed to the citizens that pregnant women who are going through maternity days should take care of their health and try to reach the hospital without delay so that they can get timely medical help and minimise the life risk.
