Islamabad:In a shocking and brutal incident, unidentified individuals attacked a young woman with acid after stripping her and left her in critical condition near Park Tower on Double Road in the F-10 Markaz area of the federal capital. The assailants fled the scene, leaving the woman severely injured and fighting for her life.
The Shalimar police were alerted around 1:45 a.m. and quickly responded, rushing the victim to the Burns Unit at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). According to hospital sources, the woman’s condition is critical, and she remains under intensive care.
Preliminary police investigations have identified the victim as ‘S Bibi,’ a resident of Ghauri Town Phase 4, originally from Tehsil Samundri, District Faisalabad. Police have launched an investigation and are confident that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will soon be apprehended. A case has been registered against unidentified persons under sections 354-A and 336-B of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to informed sources, who requested anonymity, the woman was allegedly part of a group involved in illicit activities led by an elderly ‘madam.’ The sources revealed that on the night of the attack, three men reportedly paid PKR13,000 to take the woman with them. She was then taken to an unknown location where three men and another woman stripped her and threw acid on her before abandoning her on the roadside.
The victim has since regained consciousness and provided a statement to the police, leading to the arrest of several suspects as part of the ongoing investigation.
