RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Raja Faisal Rasheed has indicted 4 accused including nominated Member of National Assembly Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry and his brother in the murder of former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Adnan Chaudhry. Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry is the son of PML-N leader Chaudhry Tanvir Khan. The accused refused to admit the charges.
The court adjourned the further hearing of the case until September 17 due to the unavailability of the accused’s lawyer.
On the day of hearing, Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry, his brother Osama Chaudhry, Chaudhry Chingiz Khan and Muhammad Zahoor appeared in the court where the judge read the indictment to the accused, but the accused refused to admit the charges in the indictment, on which the court adjourned the hearing until September 17 for the trial of the case.
On February 12, at the police headquarters in front of Annexe Chowk, unidentified motorcyclists fired at Adnan Chaudhry when he was travelling with his driver. Case number 253 was registered against 5 persons under sections 302/34 and 109 of the Penal Code of Pakistan in the complaint of the brother of the deceased Chaudhry Adnan.
