Insurgent threat

At a time when the state is faced with a litany of problems, arguably the most significant problem is the proliferation and subsequent rise of extremist groups in Pakistan. The lack of a course of action that should have been in place to narrow down extremism is concerning.

It is imperative that those sitting in the corridors of power make a concerted effort through legislation to counter insurgent groups otherwise mob lynchings, religious and political violence and the threat of even larger militant groups eyeing Pakistan, will continue to grow. The time for back door negotiations and deals is long gone.
