LAHORE: A crackdown has been launched against motorcyclists without helmets and licences at the City’s entry and exit points.
Personnel have been deployed at Ravi Bridge, Saggian, Thokar Niaz Baig, Babu Sabu, Ada Plot, Nawaz Sharif Interchange and 10 other locations, including Harbanspura, Gajjumata and Bhatta Chowk. Initially, motorcyclists without helmets will be allowed entry into the City after imposing a fine. From next week, entry will be restricted for motorcyclists without helmets. Additionally, a crackdown will be conducted on rickshaws and public service vehicles using LPG cylinders.
