LAHORE: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Friday chaired Orderly Room to review performance of officers and staff.
The CCPO heard 2,115 appeals from police officials. Warnings were issued for 1,957 appeals involving for minor infractions, while 64 appeals were rejected. He said purpose of hearing appeals is to help eliminate the archaic culture of favouritism. He said that a robust self-accountability mechanism is in place to ensure merit.
