Karachi police chief Javed Alam Odho on Saturday visited Faizan-e-Madina and reviewed security arrangements.
Officials said that the additional inspector general, along with the DIG and SSP East and other police officers, visited Faizan-e-Madina, the centre of Dawat-e-Islami, situated near the old Sabzi Mandi, and reviewed the security arrangements there in detail. He met the administration of Faizan-e-Madina and discussed the law and order situation. The police chief was briefed about the religious services of Dawat-e-Islami and apprised of the security and other issues being faced. Odho vowed to resolve the issues on a priority basis.
He directed the police officers present on the spot to make the security arrangements for processions and prayers on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi foolproof.
Expressing satisfaction over the security arrangements, the administration thanked the additional IG for his arrival and presented him with Islamic books.
