DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Seven persons died and 24 others sustained injuries when a passenger bus plunged into a ravine near Dana Sar area on the Zhob National Highway, a confluence of Dera Ismail Khan and Baluchistan, on Saturday.
Rescue 1122 officials said that the accident occurred due to over speeding. They said the bus, on its way to Islamabad from Quetta, was negotiating a downslope when the driver named Jamil Shahwani lost control over the vehicle and it fell into a gorge.
As a result, seven passengers, including the driver, lost their lives while 24 others sustained injuries.
The Rescue 1122 medical teams from Zhob, Balochistan, rushed to the scene and provided medical assistance.
