KARACHI: The Pakistan Association of Large Steel Producers (PALSP) has elected Javaid Iqbal Malik, CEO of Karachi Steels, as its new chairperson for the 2024-26 term.Among the other office bearers, Hadi Akberali of Amreli Steels was elected as senior vice chairman, while Ilyas Aziz Malik of Fazal Steels and Sufyan Ali of Punjab Concast were elected as vice chairmen.
Abbas Akberali, patron-in-chief of PALSP, along with senior leaders including Chairman of FF Steels Senator Nouman Wazir Khattak and Chairman of Mughal Steels Javed Mughal congratulated the new office bearers and expressed hope that the new leadership will set high standards of performance and effectively address the key issues facing the steel industry, which is currently facing significant challenges.
