LAHORE: A big crater appeared on the main road of Johar Town near Shaukat Khanum hospital on Monday. Traffic was disrupted and diverted to other roads when a car and two motorcycles fell into the crater.
According to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) officials, the crater was caused due to an underground leakage of sewer line. This is the fourth crater that appeared on the same road in several months.
On the orders of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, a diversion was made from Main Boulevard Johar Town. Traffic load increased due to Main Boulevard diversion. The traffic response unit was deployed and departments concerned were informed.
