KARACHI: Pakistan’s boxing sensation, Muhammad Waseem, added another victory to his illustrious career by defeating Georgian boxer Jaba Memishishi in an international bantamweight ranking bout held in Malta.
Waseem, 34, knocked out Memishishi in the third round, marking his 13th professional victory, with nine of those knockout victories.
This latest triumph boosts Waseem’s professional boxing record to an impressive 13-2 from a total of 15 bouts. Known as “The Falcon,” Waseem previously claimed the World Boxing Council (WBC) silver title twice and continues to strive toward global recognition.
Waseem’s recent journey to this victory was not without challenges. Earlier this year, he faced a visa rejection from Denmark, which caused frustration and uncertainty ahead of his bout. The denial was particularly disheartening, given Waseem’s status as a two-time world champion. Speaking to a local news channel, Waseem expressed his disappointment, saying.
