ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in Senate and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shibli Faraz has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to avoid arrest.
He made the interior secretary, IGP Islamabad, DG FIA and the federation respondents. The petition said several concocted, baseless and fake cases had been registered against Shibli Faraz. Over 100 cases had been registered against the PTI workers, it stated.
Shibli requested that he should not be arrested in any known or unknown case. The arrest in any case be linked to permission from the court. It was requested in the petition that protective bail should be granted to him for appearing in the respective court besides providing details of all cases registered against him.
