Elderly man killed in traffic accident

An elderly man lost his life in a traffic accident on Saturday. In another incident, a young man in New Karachi was injured by a kite string.

Meanwhile, a woman’s body was retrieved from a drain in New Karachi and a man’s body was found near Lyari’s Kakri Ground.

A motorcyclist died after he was struck by an unidentified vehicle near Gulshan-e-Hadeed in the Steel Town area. The body was transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where the deceased was identified as 65-year-old Muhammad Khan, son of Jamal Wakeel.

The driver responsible for the accident fled the scene. After completing the formalities, police handed over the body to the deceased man's family.

A 22-year-old youth, Abdullah, was injured when a kite string fell on his neck in New Karachi Sector 5. He was given medical assistance at a hospital nearby.

In the Bilal Colony area near Dua Chowk in New Karachi Sector 5D, the body of a woman, who had drowned, was retrieved from a drain.

Upon receiving the information, police and rescue teams arrived at the scene and retrieved the body, which was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The woman, believed to be over 50 years old, has not yet been identified. Police reported that there were no signs of violence on her body, and suspected that she may have accidentally fallen into the drain during night hours.

Scrapes were found on her left foot and right hand, suggesting she may have tried to save herself during the fall.

In another incident, the body of an unidentified man, who appeared to be around 35 years old, was found near the Kakri Ground in the Baghdadi area of Lyari. It was taken to the police station, where authorities reported that he appeared to be a drug addict.
