KARACHI: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership is attempting to get the party’s founder and former chairman, Imran Khan, out of the country.
Talking to a private news channel on Tuesday, Asif said the PTI has been working on the option of urging foreign countries or foreign powers to influence Pakistani authorities to get the former prime minister released from jail and then sent to this country or that.He also claimed that the countries being approached by the party are ready to receive Khan. However, he refused to identify the countries — or even the continents where they are located — that have allegedly expressed their willingness to receive the PTI leader.
