It is 2024 and women in workplaces worldwide still face a glass ceiling. Despite their struggles and talent, women encounter barriers to advancement, particularly in leadership. Capable women continue to fight uphill battles to reach the same heights as men. Study after study confirms that diverse leadership is good for business. Women bring unique perspectives and solutions but they are underrepresented in boardrooms and executive positions. This hurts individual women and organisations alike. Companies miss out on broader perspectives and richer insights, slowing their growth potential. Firms should go beyond just talking about inclusivity. Now is the time to act. From ensuring fair pay to establishing mentorship programmes, real steps are needed to help women reach their full potential. Imagine the possibilities if every leader were chosen for skill and vision, unconstrained by gender. Shattering this glass ceiling is not just overdue but essential for our collective future.
