LAHORE: Pakistan’s Tayyab Ikram has been elected as the President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) for an eight-year term. This marks the second consecutive time that Tayyab Ikram has been elected unopposed for this prestigious position.
Tayyab Ikram is the first president to be elected for an eight-year term following an amendment in the FIH constitution. The FIH conference also saw several important decisions being made. Tayyab Ikram will serve as President until 2032.
