LAHORE:Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said failure in providing free medicines to the patients in three cardiology hospitals will not be tolerated.
Salman Rafique chaired a meeting on the project of providing free medicines to heart disease patients at the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education here on Monday. ‘We will not tolerate even one percent failure in providing free medicines to the patients in the three cardiology hospitals,’ he said.
The management of TCS has also been directed to make clear improvements in the service, he said and added that all complaints received on the helpline in this regard should be resolved immediately.
Postgraduate diploma programmes
Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that qualitative research is being promoted in medical universities of Punjab.
Speaking at the 14th syndicate meeting of Faisalabad Medical University, the minister said transparency is being ensured in the financial affairs of medical universities, adding Punjab government is providing quality education to students in government medical universities; sanitation arrangements in government hospitals should be improved.

Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman on Monday held a meeting with representatives of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) to discuss the challenges and concerns faced by pharmaceutical companies.
